Round three of the Diamond Air Speedcar Super Series next weekend in Sydney is the most prestigious of the tournament as the SSS honours the late, great Australian Speedcar and Sprintcar Champion George Tatnell.
Last night Adelaide Motorsport Park at Virginia conducted the second of their planned “Fast Friday” events with a Track Championship Round headlined by round 4 of the JD Couriers Super Series – powered by Adelaide Computer Tax Service, the Speedcars and Wingless Sprints.
Darren Jenkins, Mark Blyton, Shane Anderson and Rob Eyeington were the main event victors in their respective Speedcar, Wingless Sprint, AMCA National and Compact Speedcars tonight at Valvoline Raceway.
Following a promising albeit disappointing debut late last season, Jay Hall has begun his first full season in Speedcars in positive fashion with a fourth-place finish in just his third ever race meeting in the class.
A stout field of 22 competitors from Queensland, interstate and overseas will take to the track this Saturday night (December 3) at Ausdeck Patios Archerfield Speedway to contest round three of the Polar Ice Midget Track Championship. Also featuring on another huge double-bill will be Dirt Modifieds who, with their Queensland Championship event washed out last weekend, are obviously keen to get back on track with a field of 20 drivers nominated for the night.
IT was a New Zealand one-two result after Kiwi Chris Gwilliam took out round two of the Diamond Air Speedcar Super Series at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway on Saturday night, November 19, from fellow countryman Brad Mosen.
