In five short days, hotshot Speedcar competitors from across NSW begin their assault on the 2005-2006 Track Championship at Parramatta City Raceway.
Reigning champion Michael Pope will lead the field of local hard chargers, which includes some of the toughest Speedcar competition the country offers. Pope makes a welcome return to the circuit this Saturday, Oct 1st, for a run in his brand new Advantage Tyres Stealth chassis/Ed Pink Ford combination and is no doubt ready to take on any challengers vying for his Track Championship moniker.
In taking out the 04-05 Season Championship, “Popey” was presented with a bonus Thumpster motorbike from Speedcars Major Sponsor Bikebiz of Parramatta!

But will the wheel-to-wheel racer be able to hold out the Championship this season against the likes of Brett Morris, Mark Cooper, Darren Jenkins, Mark Brown, Jason Gates, Peter Bourke, Troy Jenkins, Nathan Smee, Stephen Brown, Matt Young…? The seemingly endless list of talented rivals could potentially throw a mighty spanner in Pope’s Championship efforts this season!
This Saturday night we will be able to see first hand when the slick Speedcar field hits the clay surface at PCR!
